Guizhou Trip 2008

The "Love our nation, Explore the ancient city and rural life - Guizhou Trip” organised by the Moral and Civic Education Committee of our school during the Easter holidays (from 21st March to 26th March, 2008) has come to a successful end. During the six-day Guizhou trip, our participating teachers and students first stepped into the countryside, experiencing the difficult life of the impoverished as well as the hardship of the mountainous area primary students. Then, they visited the ethnic groups in Guizhou and toured around some scenic spots and historical sites such as Huangguoshu waterfall, Qingyanguzhen, Shitouzhai, etc.

After the trip, our teachers and students have a better understanding of the impoverished village life. They appreciated the villagers’ enthusiasm and simplicity. This trip also provided them with a chance to experience the different customs of the ethnic minorities. Through this trip, they all have a greater awareness and understanding of the rural life in our motherland.
