Learning English through Drama - Drama Fest 2008
Some S.3 students of our school formed a Drama Group and joined the 2008 Drama Fest held by the Association of English Medium (EMI) Secondary Schools. The competition was held on 8th April, 2008, at True Light Girls’ College. Our students’ and teachers’ hard work paid off as they were awarded the Outstanding Creativity Award.

The students started to prepare for the show a bit late as they had their second term uniform tests in late March. However, that did not deter them from striving hard because of their strong interest in English drama.

Students who joined the competition said that although having many practices made them feel tired, they enjoyed the fun of working together and their sense of satisfaction grew as they witnessed how their hard work turned a script into a lively, humorous play on the stage. By joining the competition, students learnt about teamwork and, at the same time, their spoken English improved.
