English Speaking Days – March & April 09

On Wednesday March 25th and April1st, the English Ambassadors organized lunchtime activities to promote English usage. We decided to continue our English Activity Day theme of Health and Fitness by setting up four game stalls. These games, apart from Pictionary, were created by the English Ambassadors to raise students’ awareness about junk food, the food pyramid and our general knowledge about health. Many students participated in these activities and won prizes.
On April 1st, the focus was on Easter and S1-3 students were invited to make their own Easter cards using a picture for the cover and a greeting on the inside. Chocolate Easter egg prizes were awarded for the best card on each table. At the end of the activity, students searched for small chocolate Easter eggs in the traditional Easter egg hunt. We wanted to celebrate the spirit of Easter so we created a “Wishing Tree” for students to write wishes to others on cards, which were then hung on the tree in the Covered Playground.
