| 10th China Robot Competition & RoboCup China Open 18 students from Secondary 2-6 of our school participated in the 10th China Robot Competition & the RoboCup China Openin Zhongshan, China from 4 to 7 December, 2008. It is a competition organized by the RoboCup Contest Committee of Automation Association. 1200 competitors of 420 teams from120 organizationsfrom all over the world including the USA, Germany and Japan joined the competition. Local teams came from famous universities including Tsinghua University, Peking University, China University of Technology, etc. Our students entered 4 categories of the competition including Robot Dancing, 2-leg Robot Dash, Robot Gymnastics and Underwater Mining. They competed with university students in all the categoriesexcept 2-leg Robot Dash.In Robot Dancing, there were 28 university teams. Our school got the 1st runner up in the competition while the Champion went to a university. Our students performed well and got outstanding results, with a total of 2champions, a 1st runner up and 4 certificates of merit.
